Really helpful staff, very clean, good food. ++++ they even picked is up from the station. Only 2 negatives for me, Room 1, smokers smoke under the window so if it's open you join the experience, they should be well away from the building and although the breakfast was not bad only the egg tasted ad if it had been cooked for me, the sausage, bacon and black pud had a just kept warm from an earlier cooking feel to me. Definitely stay again.

Lovely and peaceful hotel in a quiet area of the Lakeland District. Rooms were comfortable, great shower and extras including hair and body gels, kettle, biscuits, tea and coffee. Breakfast was delicious, full English, smoked salmon, cereals, toast and fruit on offer. Also had their cheese plate dessert one evening which was also very satisfying. Staff were friendly and accommodating, very clean, warm and cosy environment. Great location to get to all the main towns and walks within the district.
Booked here for Mother's Day lunch. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and service was quick. The menu offered good choices over the 3 courses. The food was nicely presented and, most importantly, delicious. Would highly recommend it for a meal when open.
Friendly hotel with in a quiet area. Set in impressive surroundings. Ideal base for visiting main attractions in the region. A small town is nearby, 10 min walk, featuring three pubs, shop and cashpoint. Breakfast is excellent including a Full English and various popular options.
